Great thoughts. I think the most profound text in the Bible is “God is Love”, that is TRUTH to me, and I use that as a filter to interpret the rest of the Bible and anything else people have to say about God or religion.

We are very selfish creatures and I think there is plenty of evidence that we don’t understand real love. It seems we have to go against our own human nature to even get a glimpse of real love. To understand love we have to seek God, and to understand God we need to seek love (agape). It is the only thing worth anything on this earth…..everything else is easily destoyed by lava, which makes those things we DO seem to value pretty worthless.
